What's included?

Our 11-Plus Mock Examination Days provide an ideal opportunity to give your child the valuable experience of an 11-Plus examination. They are designed to familiarise your child with the experience of the real examination process, as well as give you valuable feedback on your child’s progress.

Our mock exam has a number of goals above and beyond simply testing a child’s knowledge of 11+ topics to identify gaps. They aim to:

Help build confidence
Settle examination nerves
Enable you and your child’s tutor to plan future work on areas of need before the real examination
Allow a realistic view of where you child is in relationship to their peers

We try to simulate the 11-Plus examination as much as possible. We use a real examination hall and each child will complete the examination at an individual desk, under strict examination conditions. We enforce strict timings on each section of the question paper, have a proper answer sheet separate from the question paper, and log the time of all calls for help/clarification/toilet visits.

We appreciate that this can be a tough and intimidating introduction to the world of formal examinations though, and it can be upsetting for some children. We make a point of monitoring all of the children throughout the exam for signs of distress,and help as much as possible if problems arise.

All papers will be marked, given a percentage and ranked against other papers completed that day. This will give an indication of actual selection examination results. We will also include feedback on selected areas of strength and weakness, which will be posted back to you within a week.

Prices and how to book

The mock examinations cost £65 per student. This includes the examination itself as well as marking, assessment and feedback.
