Our son Sacha achieved a score of 129 in the Buckinghamshire transfer test, and this was largely thanks to the great support of Rachel and Ella.

From our perspective there seemed to be fantastic structure to the lessons, homework and overall build up to the exam.

Lessons were in a small group and there was a good focus on making them enjoyable.

The feedback after each lesson came through very promptly and was useful for us to understand what they had done, and what his strengths and weaknesses were.

Homework was in bite sized chunks each week, and we always received constructive feedback.

Finally there ware some well organised mock exams, ensuring Sacha knew exactly what to expect and there were no surprises on the day.

My son really enjoyed his time spent with Rachel every week – he looked forward to it and always came out of the class with lots of new ideas to share. The homework was challenging and fun; and along with the weekly sessions really helped prepare him for the wide range of exercises that could appear in the final exam.

We also found the books and other resources of great quality, and the mock exam was a super way to see how he was consolidating his learning and exam technique by the Summer.

I also appreciated Rachel’s support in answering the queries I had about where my son needed to focus his efforts as the exam date drew closer. I can’t recommend Rachel highly enough – my younger son already can’t wait to start his time at 11+ pass!

We would highly recommend Rachel for support with 11+ tutoring, having enrolled our daughter on her 11+ programme. The initial assessment is excellent and gauges strengths and development areas perfectly, and our daughter enjoyed the sessions and challenge immensely. The format of very small classes with a few students worked really well for our daughter, and not only did she successfully pass the 11+ exam but her confidence, performance and achievements in her work at school also improved greatly.

Rachel's techniques helped our daughter not only ensure she was ready for the Transfer Test, but also helped her confidence & abilities with her Primary school curriculum, where her progress improved over the period she was studying with Rachel. She enjoyed the range of in-class activities, including some of the learning games, as well as the themed homework, which worked really well using Google Classroom.

The mock exams (optional, but recommended) ensured we were clear on where she needed more focus and our daughter put in lots of effort to concentrate on these areas.

Studying with Rachel ensured our daughter was ready for both how to approach the subject matter, as well as the exam technique. Highly recommend.

I feel really lucky of both my sons with 11 Plus Pass. My boys indicated how much they liked the ways of learning with the tutors. We found Rachel to be a great tutor for the 11 Plus exam preparation. She is well organised, structured and covered the content in depth without overloading him with homework. The summer courses were also a great and helpful resource. Our son passed with a great score of 136. Highly recommend!
